New Business-to-Government (B2G) platform
To date, Lithuania has utilised the E. Saskaita platform to accommodate Business-to-Government (B2G) e-invoicing in the country.
The E. Saskaita is now set to become obsolete and replaced by a new platform.
From 1 July 2024, all invoices must be submitted through the SABIS (General Account Administration Information System) platform, further to Government Resolution 405.
Submission to the SABIS portal can be facilitated via the following:
- A portal
- Direct API
- Peppol
Invoice formats and technical requirements will include:
- Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 (Invoice and Credit Note)
- Peppol BIS Billing CII Invoice
Both formats adhere to the e-invoicing European standard for electronic invoices, in a further nod to harmonised EU-compliant invoice formats.
