Business-to-Business (B2B) e-invoicing draft legislation
The VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) proposal has prompted traditionally smaller markets in Europe to become more vocal with their e-invoicing plans.
Via their initiative to curb the shadow economy for 2024-2027, Latvia has unveiled plans for B2B e-invoicing in the country.
Key components of the initial plan include:
- Completion of the project by 30 December 2025
- Implementation of both e-invoicing and e-reporting.
B2B e-invoicing in Latvia is currently optional, and the country has some exposure to Peppol via Business-to-Government (B2G) e-invoicing.
Latvia is a compliant territory for Tungsten Automation. We are following e-invoicing progression in the country.
