In December 2023, the Colombian government introduced the mandatory issuance of some new document types.

The government has revised its timeframes with the issuance of these specific document types, with a three-month postponement. The revised timeframes will be as follows:

• 1 May 2024: taxpayer systems must be ready for sales e-invoice compliance
• 1 May 2024: large taxpayers must issue POS tickets electronically
• 1 June 2024: other taxpayers under the obligation to declare income tax must issue POS tickets electronically
• 1 July 2024: remaining taxpayers must issue POS tickets electronically
• 1 August 2024 to 1 November 2024: gradual implementation of all other electronic equivalent documents
